Well, that makes sense, I guess. Is he allowed to have pets, or is he on duty like a service dog?

[He gingerly offers his flesh and blood hand for Bear to sniff, if he wishes, at least.]

Yeah, you can pet him; he does all the normal dog stuff, too.

[Look at that, he's even wagging his tail as he'e sniffs up B's arm to his face!]

He reads my body language. He knows you're a friendly.

[Aw, yay. B readily starts scratching at Bear's neck fur, grinning, letting him sniff at his face if he wants to too.]

I should hope I'm a friendly. And Jet's staying with you these days, too? Keeping Bear company?

[Or keeping Sameen company, more likely.]

He's the best of Graham's dogs - with Winston as a close second. I have discerning taste, B; I had to steal him.

[B laughs a little, at that, still petting the dogs.]

Well, I won't say he couldn't stand for someone to share in the load, with how many dogs he's got. Will's cool with that?

Mm, he hasn't objected so far. He's the one bringing him over half the time.

Aaaah. Okay. I'd wondered if maybe he wasn't actually trying to adopt some of his dogs out. Sweeney's real attached to one of 'em, too.

Mm, could be. He's a rescuer, but not a hoarder. He doesn't collect them just to have them.

Makes sense. I'll just be glad he hasn't decided me and Steve need a third dog, then.

[He gives Bear and Jet a contented fur-ruffling.]

So are these two gonna come hang out with the whole pack in the kennel at all?

Does Jet have friends down there he's going to miss?

[B laughs a little.]

Well, some of the pack, probably. And him and Libby do get along. But I could arrange playdates if you'd rather not set him loose with Will's dogs.
